Of course, having too much of a choice can sometimes present as big a challenge as not having enough. So here’s a little help to set you on the right path…
Choose light colours for…
Small rooms feel even smaller when you choose dark tones for your fitted wardrobes. Make the room feel larger than it is by choosing white or light wood tones. To really aid the feeling of space, consider sliding doors (so you don’t lose valuable room to door opening arcs) and make at least one of the doors a mirror.
Choose darker colours for…
Dark feels warmer. Rich wood hues create cosiness which, with the right lighting, can create a real haven of peace and tranquillity. Ideal for mid-size rooms and larger.
Choose light colours for…
Scandinavian, shaker-style or coastal-inspired designs.
Choose darker colours for…
Vintage or traditional styles. Or contrast darker tones with simple, lighter décor for an ultra- contemporary feel.
Which comes first, the furniture or the décor?
Generally speaking, your Blackpool fitted bedroom furniture will last longer and be the greater investment compared to the décor. The wardrobes, therefore, should come first. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t select your fitted bedroom with a design in mind, but ensure there’s enough ‘wiggle room’ so that, as fashion changes, you can switch the décor a couple of times without needing to make any more dramatic changes.
